0.12.1-beta-fix2 (31.05.2026)
- Implemented fixes introduced in 0.11.6-beta-fix2 version.
- Fixed a crash during one of the encounters in "A Spot of Spectral Trouble" event when specific conditions were met.
- Added a back button to Bobby's menu with the items for the "Need more cookies!" event.
- Implemented other various adjustments and fixes.

0.12.1-beta-fix1 (28.05.2026)
In order to transfer the saves it's required to copy and paste the save files manually from the current version into the fix1 version.

The save files can be found in the following folders:
Android:     Android/data/innocent.witches/files/saves
PC/Linux:    Innocent Witches/game/saves
Mac:         Innocent Witches.app/Contents/Resources/autorun/game/saves

The game has a backup save folder. If you have some problems with user rights on your device, and you can't find the saves in the folders mentioned above, your saves will be here:
PC:      C:/Users/→YOUR USERNAME←/AppData/Roaming/RenPy/Innocent-Witches-{version}
Linux:   ~/.renpy/Innocent-Witches-{version}
Mac:     ~Library/RenPy/Innocent-Witches-{version}

So the process is the following:
- Close the game if it's running.
- Open the current version save files folder, mentioned above.
- Copy the save files.
- Open the fix1 version save files folder.
- Paste the save files.

After that the eligible files will be loadable in the fix1 version. As a reminder, at the moment only the save files created in Headmaster's office will be loadable in the new version. In future, this system should work more seamlessly, the saves will automatically be available in the new version.

Changes and fixes:
0. All the fixes, adjustments and additions that were implemented in 0.11.6-beta-fix1 are also present in 0.12.1-beta-fix1. Specific changes and additions can be found below in the section 0.11.6-beta-fix1.
- Added two new locations to visit - Ravenclaw and Slytherin Common rooms (missed in the previous changelog).
- Updated the visuals for the Hufflepuff Dorms location (missed in the previous changelog).
- It's now possible to enter Hufflepuff Dorms directly from the Hufflepuff Common Room via the doors (missed in the previous changelog).
- Overwriting a save file that has a custom name will now keep the name of that save file instead of resetting it (missed in the previous changelog).
- Added emotions to "Miss Hogwarts: Luna" and "Need more cookies!" events.
- Fixed overlapping miniatures when visiting the library and hovering over the bookcases.
- Fixed an error caused by the option to choose the difficulty of the encounter with Peeves.
- Fixed visual glitches in the full screen scene happening at the end of Act 2 Chapter 2.
- Fixed an issue caused by exiting the Ravenclaw Common Room during specific events.
- Fixed an error caused by entering Slytherin Dorms via the Slytherin Common Room during one of the stages of the "Hogwarts' Temporary Santa" quest.
- Fixed other bugs, typos and various issues across the game.

0.12.1-beta (20.05.2026)
0. All the fixes, adjustments and additions that were implemented in 0.11.6-beta are also present in 0.12.1-beta. Specific changes and additions can be found below in the section 0.11.6-beta.
- Added twelve (12) new and updated polaroid photos to collect. These photos have both static and animated versions. It's also possible to "enhance" them through a new event to make them even more enjoyable ;) You can find hints about where to get them in the Photo Album section located in the Quest Journal.
- Added a new event with Hermione, which features a new story and a revamped minigame (available in Act 2 Chapter 4 and beyond after passing a day or two).
- Added a new "Miss Hogwarts: Ginny" event (available via the Extra section in the bookcase in Headmaster's office starting from Act 1 Chapter 5).
- Expanded "A Spot of Spectral Trouble" event with additional content. It becomes available after finishing the main story of the event.
- Customization of the main menu Live2D backgrounds is smoother now. The background doesn't blink during the switch. Entering customization section does not reset the background state.
- Ginny's quest is now mandatory for completion in Act 1 Chapter 5. Starting from Act 1 Chapter 6 the game assumes her quest has been finished. We have her address and can summon her freely.
- The quest "Misplaced packages", which briefly introduces Parvati, is now mandatory in Act 1 Chapter 3. Starting from Act 1 Chapter 4 we have Parvati's address and can summon her freely.
- Added an option to make Rowena Raven's puzzle easier during the "A Spot of Spectral Trouble" quest.
- Fixed Rowena's Raven dialogue portrait during the "A Spot of Spectral Trouble" quest.
- Made it possible to exit the Ravenclaw entrance location when solving Rowena Raven's puzzle.
- Adjusted the timer for the spell when encountering Peeves. Added an option to make it easier during second and following attempts.
- Made the repeated encounter with Peeves smoother.
- Fixed the issue that unlocked part two of the "Glorious visit" event too early in Act 2 Chapter 3, which caused multiple issues. It's now properly available from Act 2 Chapter 4 and forward.
- Slightly expanded the available eyes and mouth customization states for Hermione's main menu background Live2D animations.
- Prevented the inventory items from the "Hogwarts' Temporary Santa" to disappear between chapters.
- Prevented the phoenix feather inventory item to disappear between chapters.
- Fixed other bugs, typos and various issues across the game.

0. The new events mentioned below are available in Act 2 Chapter 4 and beyond.
- Added a new event that continues the story in the Abandoned toilet. It triggers automatically after skipping some time.
- Added a new event revolving around exiting the office at night. It triggers automatically after skipping some time.
- Added a new event which expands on Luna Lovegood's win in "Miss Hogwarts 2024" contest. It's available via the bookcase Extra menu.
- Added customization and different states for Susan Bones' main menu background for both static and Live2D animated versions. The menu evolves as you play through the story with Susan chosen as your waifu.
- Added a full screen scene with Parvati Patil, which can be repeated for additional content.
- Added a new repeatable event with Elf-maid. It triggers automatically after skipping some time.
- Added new activities for the Abandoned toilet's booth meetings.
- Added a new polaroid with Luna Lovegood.
- The library now has interactive shelves with books.
- Added night state for Classroom 609 and Potions Classroom locations, plus integrated existing night state for Library, Corridor one, Corridor two and Prefects' Bathroom.
- Fixed overlapping miniatures in Ravenclaw dorms.
- Fixed a bug which caused Hermione's miniature in the library to become stuck in Act 2 Chapter 2.
- Fixed various grammar mistakes and typos for the content available in the supporter's version.
- Fixed other errors and bugs, plus added more polish here and there for the content available in supporter's version.

1. Updated the interface in the main menu. The art for the book has been updated together with the interactive elements on it
2. Added Live2D animations for the Hogwarts Corridor version of the main menu background
3. Added a better scaling technique to be used for Live2D animations which utilize 4k texture atlas. This should result in overall reduced aliasing (jaggedness of the edges) for the moving parts in such animations
4. Added an option that makes the tooltips appear in a static position rather than next to the cursor when hovering over them. This should be especially useful for players on mobile devices. The option is available in Extra section in Preferences
5. Added a background for tooltips for better readability
6. Checked and adjusted the achievements in the Sonya's knowledge base according to their availability in the old / new plot. You will now only see the achievements there that are available in the current version of story that you are playing
