Description Game

You will play as Garrick Reynolds, a news co-anchor. You and your female co-host, Cassandra Hamilton, are both alphas that clawed your ways to where you are now. The new problem is that the station is getting bought by a big news corporation and there will only be one anchor when the sale goes down. Both you and your colleague will try to sabotage each other to get that coveted spot. Maybe her college aged daughter would be a good place to start.​

How to play:
– Each round, you will get to play first. You can play your cards, use your allies and try to remove her cards.
– After you’re done doing your actions. Press the “done with round” button.
– When pressed, the game will check if you have at least 50 “Influence”. If so, you will win that battle and have your accumulated “Work” added to your glory. Meaning that you managed to get the better of her that day and hog the spotlight.
– If you didn’t win the battle, she will then play all the card that she has remaining.
– When she’s done playing, the game will check if she has at least 50 “Influence”. If so, shewill win that battle and have her accumulated “Work” added to her glory. Meaning that she managed to get the better of you that day and hog the spotlight.
– if she didn’t win, you both will get new cards from your draw piles and play another round until someone gets to 50 influence.
– “Glory” is the game winning stat. The first one to 1000 will get the position being fought over.

To play your cards:
– Click on a card at the bottom of the screen, it will become zoomed in.
1 – Click again on the zoomed in card to actually play it.
2 – Click on the white zone to un-zoom the card.
3 – Click on another one of your cards to zoom it instead.
– The card will be played if you have the resources to play it. There are 6 stats at the top of the screen each with their own color code. (Energy, Money, Blackmail, Influence, Work, Glory) The number at the top left (and sometimes right) of a card will be color coded for what resource(s) it will consume to play it.
– What playing the card will accomplish is in the blurb at the bottom of the card.
– the dark grey part is the title of the card. Depending on how upgraded it is, it’ll have one or more “+”. Ex: Work hard, Work hard+, Work hard++.
– The white part (between the prices and the blurb) will be a simple drawing to easily recognize the card in the future.

To interact with HER cards:
Her cards are divided into 5 parts.
– The purple part is the title of the card.
– The white part will be a drawing to identify the card.
– The red part will be what happens if you let her play that card.
– The green part is instruction on how to remove that card from the round.
– The yellow part is the reward for removing it from the round.

To remove her cards, simply click on it (it will get a purple siding) and then either click on the highlighted resource or click on your cards that you want to discard/spend, depending on the price asked by the specific card. It will automatically discard itself if you can meet the price and it will give you it’s reward.

– Changed the “risky business” card’s odds. All stages are now 40% win, 60 lose.
– Rest event now gives a flat 20 energy.
– Lowered the energy gains in town. It was too easy to go forever. Balanced the events. Removing from some and adding to others.
– Boosted the granny event in the gym. Lowered the energy cost from 30 to 25 and gives an additional 5 money.
– Lowered the “Act like a bimbo” card’s blackmail cost.
– Upped the “*ss grab++” card’s cost by 5.
– Removed the energy cost of the “Walk of shame+” and “Walk of shame++” cards. Upped the blackmail cost of “Walk of shame+” by 5.
– Adjusted the “Rumors” card’s cost and effectiveness. A bit cheaper and less impact as it was too easy to boost the influence hit.
– After the Cassandra event where she apologizes to Max, his ally card changes from removing 10 of her glory to giving you 30 money.
– Chad can now be tapped infinitely for Casandra’s “intern” card purposes.
– Added Emily events in town. First, they will be bad but when you start to tame her personally, they will turn into the best events.

  • When meeting an ally for the first time, added a message that says they have been added to the visit tab.
  • Bubble++ needed to have a bigger energy cost. She gives 100 energy and then just costs 80.

  • Karen sabotage event needed a bit more randomness.
  • The first time that you get a special event, added an explanation of what those are.
  • When you win a special event, the blurb now reminds you of the prizes.
  • Added a hotkey to hide the text box (space bar).
  • Added space button graphic for talk box.
  • After a point in the game, Cassandra will now count as a whore to key off whore cards.
  • Added a Whore graphic for Cassandra.
  • Added some risk reward to buying whores for energy. Might lose glory but get more energy.
  • Changed “act like a bimbo” card. It now removes some of her influence and gives you work.
  • Later on in the game, your hand draw goes down to 4 cards, then 3 as Cassandra works against you.
  • If you have Chad in town, I removed the “look around carefully” button to remove confusion.
  • Restructured some things in the town events. The schmoozing event was getting called about 4 times more often than other events.
  • When winning a fight, I added a message that says how much glory you get.
  • I pumped up the “rumors” card. It was way too weak. It now helps push the sexual keyword.
  • Angering Chad subevent didn’t consume energy. Fixed it.
  • Added basic town BGs so that I don’t have to always use the Cassandra one.

Resolution Patch: DIRECT LINK
The author laid the UI out poorly, and it *must* be in a 2:1 ratio. Because of this, I’ve added multiple choice resolutions here. Just extract which one you want, rename it, replace the original. Remember to note what resolution you should aim for. If you’re running 4K which is 3840×2160 then you need to run with Assembly-CSharp_3800x1900.dll. The game does NOT lay out in any non-2:1 ratio resolution. This also means fullscreen is out of the question. The author would need to provide a small patch to ensure a 2:1 layout regardless of resolution and then the game could be patched to support any.
